DancingIt was six years ago
That I met her.
I saw her from across the ballroom.

When we spent the evening together.

Her mask hid too much
Of her porcelain face
Her emerald dress flowed
Like water
As we danced together
As one.

She left for just a moment
Or maybe two
I assume to fetch a drink
And I saw something sparkle
From the corner of my eye.
A hair clip, hand made.
Tiny gems glued on
Glittering in light.

I looked around
but none were claiming it
So I picked it up
As my mysterious love returned.

I turned to her
She smiled
With her ruby lips.
I prese

Violets are dead
The monster's you see
Are all in your head.

You'd best start running
They're quick as a fox
And twice as cunning.

They're drawing close
So don't forget:
